One Night @ My House
The night was dark and dogs were howling in background...it was slightly breezy....and this sat night there was no-one except me in the house...(how much we all want to be alone at times...and still want some company)....do u see where i am getting to??...okie cut the crap...m i going to talk abt a burglary or tell u abt some action sequence in my bed ?? if u have already started wandering abt the latter than u might be in for a disappointment...u can read some sensual blogs elsewhere...i have sth else to tell about this NIGHT !!!
Frankly, i had bought this book "ONE NIGHT @ THE CALL CENTRE" thinking that there will be descriptions of some raunchy sequences in the book at call-centres about which u keep on reading in papers like TOI...here's one of the headlines...."S*x in office a reality.."...unfortunately i had not heard abt Chetan Bhagat (i have not read his first book abt IITians coz i dont like them - sour grapes - and his name doesnt sound authorish also...) before or in that matter abt any upcoming authors...there is a long story to why i have not read new books recently....but let me brief it below...
I had read masterpieces like "The Fountainhead", "Kane & Abel", "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" and Haileys, Sidneys and the like when i was in school...after school....somehow i never got into serious reading coz i became complacent that i am beyond these books and novels. Morover these days no one writes good books is what i thought...until THIS NIGHT when i picked up "ONE NIGHT @ THE CALL CENTRE" at 1am on sat night for reasons i described above....
Boy boy...this book was simply unstoppable...it was racy and connected to the heart easily....i had a couple of sudden bursts of laughter too...something no book managed to do after "Computer Networks by Tanenbaum" in my college....i completed the book within couple of hours before the sunrise...the book was blunt and candid and left me asking for more....i am not going to bore u with the book review but it is 'MUST READ' book....
So chigs whats the bottomline? What happened to "ONE NIGHT @ MY HOUSE" ??? Well, that night brought back my long lost passion for books....thnx chetan...i am looking fwd to reading more books...any recommendations ???
